What is event ticket insurance?
Event Ticket ProtectorSM by Mondial Assistance offers you greater peace of mind with an event ticket purchase by insuring you against unforeseen circumstances. If a traffic accident, medical issue, mechanical breakdown, jury duty, or other covered reason prevents you from attending the event, 100 percent of the ticket price including taxes and shipping charges is returned to you, up to a maximum of coverage amount.
Why do I need event ticket insurance?
You need event ticket insurance because it insures your financial investment of the event tickets including taxes and shipping costs (up to the amount of your policy limits) should you not be able to attend the event for a covered reason.
What does Event Ticket ProtectorSM by Mondial Assistance cover?
Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance provides coverage if you cannot attend an event for a number of covered reasons such as:
- Serious and unforeseen Illness, Injury or Death - of you, a covered family member, or event companion
- Traffic accidents - which could prevent you from getting to an event
- Home or Business Issues - if your home or business is uninhabitable due to fire, flood, vandalism, burglary or natural disasters
- Employer Termination - providing protection against a lay-off

What is a pre-existing medical condition?
A pre-existing medical condition is an illness or injury that you, your event companion or family member were seeking or receiving treatment for or had symptoms of on the day you purchased the Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance, or at any time in the 120 days before you purchased it. This also includes being required to take prescribed drugs or medicine unless the illness remains controlled without any change in the required prescription. Please also note that you may still be covered for losses caused by reasons other than those related to an existing medical condition. See the Certificate of Insurance/ Policy for details.
If I don't go to the event, do I get my money back?
No. Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance will only refund prepaid, non-refundable payments if you have to cancel for a covered reason. Covered reasons include sudden medical emergencies, death of a family member or companion, mechanical breakdown on the way to an event, traffic accident while in route to the event, being called for jury or military duty, or having your home rendered uninhabitable. Please see the Certificate of Insurance/Policy for a complete list of covered reasons, limitations, conditions and exclusions that may apply. Please note that no benefits will be extended for cancellations due to simply changing your mind.
Are there any restrictions or limitations of the insurance?
Yes. Every insurance plan contains restrictions and limitations. Certain pre-existing conditions may be covered. Do I need to purchase Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance for each event?
Yes. Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance must be purchased separately for each event.
If I decide I don't want the Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance, can I get my money back?
Within 10 days of purchasing the event ticket insurance, Mondial Assistance will process a full refund of premium to You, as long as you have not already attended your event or filed a claim. No refunds shall be paid to you after 10 days of purchasing the product.
Who can I call if I have questions about the Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance?

Claims may be filed online at EventTicketProtector.com or you may contact the Mondial Assistance claims office at 1-888-799-2832. The claim specialist will let you know what documentation (see the Certificate of Insurance/Policy for specific information) will be required and will send you a claim form. The claims office is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Why isn't my Event Ticket ProtectorSM insurance purchase displayed with my event ticket information?
Event ticket insurance is purchased directly through Mondial Assistance, the ticket provider's preferred supplier. All policy documentation will be sent directly to you from Mondial Assistance.
Who provides the insurance for this program?
Mondial AssistanceSM plans are underwritten by BCS Insurance Company under BCS Form No. 50.231CW, 50.431, 52.201, or 52.401, or Jefferson Insurance Company under Jefferson Form No. 102-C-XX-01 or 102-P-XX-01, depending on the insured's state of residence. Plan is administered by World Access Service Corp., a company of Mondial Assistance.
Please be advised: This optional coverage may duplicate coverage already provided by your personal auto insurance policy, homeowner's insurance policy, personal liability insurance policy or other source of coverage. This insurance is not required in connection with the insured's purchase of tickets. Plan may not be available in all jurisdictions.
